I went on a shopping trip to a second-hand-shop in order to find a summer blouse. I got a cotton tunic with a beautiful flower pattern that I love. I cropped the blouse, so that could be worn tucked into or above high waist pants. Since the sleeves were too long I tightened the cuffs so that the sleeves were more puffy.
The length of a tunic is usually hip-long or longer. That is why there was enough fabric to make a childrens skirt. I smoked the fabric and sewed a fine elastic band in. I attached the skirt to a bodysuit. You can use a t-shirt as well.
I am really looking forward to summer when my baby girl and I can wear our matching outfits.
